Digital Preservation and Archiving Policy
Website Archiving and Server Backups
All electronic content of the journal — including the website, published articles, and metadata — is preserved across multiple independent sources.
The primary version is hosted on our main web server, accessible to all readers.
In addition, two separate backup copies are stored on independent servers.
In the event of a system failure, one of the backup sources can be restored promptly, typically within 24–36 hours, ensuring continuous availability of the journal’s website and content.
Preservica Digital Archiving
ETKİ uses Preservica, a trusted digital preservation platform, to securely archive all published content.
Preservica provides long-term preservation and format migration, ensuring reliable access to all articles and metadata even if the journal ceases publication or experiences technical disruptions.
This system complements our internal backups and strengthens the integrity and durability of the scholarly record.
Abstracting and Indexing Services
The journal collaborates with recognized abstracting and indexing databases that store essential metadata, article identifiers, and in some cases, full-text versions of published works.
This distributed archiving model ensures that ETKİ’s scholarly content is available through multiple access points, enhancing both visibility and long-term preservation.
Commitment to Continuity
Through these multi-layered preservation measures — including server backups and Preservica archiving —
ETKİ: Journal of Literature, Theatre and Culture Studies guarantees the continuity, accessibility, and authenticity of its published research for present and future readers.
